Why There's No Single Answer
Every tree removal is priced individually, and for good reason. The tree itself is only part of the picture — the site around it, what's nearby, and how the crew can get to it all play a part in how long the job takes and what equipment is needed.
That's frustrating if you're trying to get a rough figure before booking a quote, but it's also why we'd always rather come and look at the tree in person than guess over the phone.
Access and Surroundings Make the Biggest Difference
This is usually the single biggest factor in how two similar-looking trees end up with very different prices. A tree standing in an open garden with easy access for a vehicle is a straightforward job. A tree of the same size squeezed between a fence, a greenhouse, and a newly landscaped patio is a different job entirely — everything has to be dismantled carefully by hand rather than felled in sections, which takes longer and needs more skill.
Newly landscaped gardens in particular tend to push the price up, simply because there's more to protect and less room for error.
It's Unique to the Job, Every Time
Beyond access, we're looking at the size and condition of the tree, whether it's leaning towards anything valuable, whether the wood is being kept or needs clearing away, and whether there's anything else — like a shed, a pond, or a neighbour's fence — that changes how carefully the job needs to be approached.
This is exactly why we don't publish a price list. It wouldn't be honest. Every tree is unique to the job, and we'll always talk through the specifics with you at the time of your free, no obligation quote.
Why We Quote in Person, Not Over the Phone
A five-minute look at a tree tells us far more than a photo or a description ever could. It means the price we give you is the price you pay, with no surprises on the day. If your tree is genuinely straightforward, that's good news for your quote — and if it's more involved, we'd rather tell you that upfront than underquote and cause problems later.
