Project Breakdown

The situation

The Horse Chestnut had outgrown its position along the boundary, dominating the surrounding vegetation and limiting usable garden space. Its size and location made ongoing maintenance impractical, and removal was chosen as the most suitable long-term solution. Care was needed due to nearby fencing and surrounding growth.

The work carried out

We dismantled the tree in sections using climbing techniques, carefully lowering branches to avoid damage to the boundary and adjacent plants. The main stem was then removed in controlled stages down to ground level. This allowed the tree to be removed safely without disturbance to the surrounding area.

The outcome

The space has been opened up significantly, allowing more light into the area and making the boundary easier to manage. The surrounding vegetation can now be maintained properly without obstruction. All timber and arisings were removed and the site left clear after completion.
