Leyland Cypress Hedge Restoration

Project Breakdown

The situation

The Leyland Cypress hedge had been left to grow unchecked and had become excessively tall and top-heavy along the roadside boundary. This was affecting light levels and making ongoing maintenance difficult. The aim was to regain control of the hedge while keeping it healthy and suitable for long-term upkeep.

The work carried out

We carried out a staged reduction, carefully lowering the height and re-profiling the face of the hedge to create a consistent boundary line. Work was completed using controlled cutting methods to avoid damage to the remaining growth and surrounding wall and pavement. Traffic signage was used to keep the area safe while working along the roadside edge.

The outcome

The hedge is now at a practical height and easier to maintain going forward, while still providing privacy and screening. The boundary appears significantly neater and allows more natural light to reach the property. All cuttings were removed and the pavement left clean after completion.
