The situation

We carried out a structured pollard, reducing the canopy back to established pollard points. Using controlled climbing techniques, each limb was removed methodically to maintain balance and avoid unnecessary stress on the tree. The work was completed with a focus on encouraging strong, healthy regrowth.
The outcome
The willow is now reduced to a manageable form, significantly lowering the risk of failure while preserving the tree’s long-term health. The reshaped canopy will promote vigorous new growth, and the surrounding area is now safer and easier to maintain. All arisings were cleared, leaving the site neat and tidy.
