Project Breakdown

The situation

The willows had grown tall and heavy along the edge of the water, with extended limbs leaning toward the bank and surrounding area. Their size and weight created ongoing maintenance issues and increased the risk of limb failure in windy conditions. Due to their position beside the water and nearby access routes, the trees could not be felled in a single operation.

The work carried out

We dismantled the trees in controlled sections using climbing and rigging techniques. Branches were lowered carefully to avoid damage to the ground and surrounding area, before progressively removing the upper crown and main stems. Each stage was completed methodically to maintain stability and safety throughout the process.

The outcome

The riverside area is now safer and easier to maintain, with improved visibility and reduced risk of falling limbs. The space has been opened up while keeping the surrounding environment undisturbed. All arisings were cleared and the site left clean and tidy after completion.
